Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving technical problems, and keeping complex machines running at full speed?
Do you like real engineering environments where everything moves, shifts, and operates 24/7?
Then this is your next step.
We are looking for a (Junior) Maintenance Technician to work in one of the most advanced automated logistics environments in Europe, where large-scale systems ensure the continuous flow of goods in mission-critical operations such as air cargo, warehouse logistics, and high-throughput distribution systems.
Think: conveyor networks, automated storage systems, high-speed handling equipment, and intelligent control systems working together at industrial scale.
About the role
You will be working in a fully automated, high-performance logistics environment where uptime is everything.
The systems you maintain are part of a large integrated automation network designed to move, sort, store, and process goods with maximum speed and precision.
This is a hands-on technical role combining mechanical maintenance with electrical troubleshooting, ideal for technicians who want real impact instead of repetitive factory work.
No two days are the same. Every shift brings new challenges.
What will you do?
- Perform maintenance on automated systems such as conveyors, cranes, and handling installations
- Clean and maintain mechanical components like chains, rollers, bearings, and drives
- Keep the working environment clean and organized- this is part of quality and system reliability
- Inspect equipment and detect wear, faults, or irregularities
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical failures
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation
- Log maintenance activities in the system
- Ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and continuously (24/7 operations)
You will be working on large-scale automation systems where precision and uptime directly impact logistics performance.
What do we expect from you?
- MBO/BBL technical education or equivalent
(Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or similar) - Hands-on technical experience (professional or hobby level)
- Strong mechanical understanding and basic electrical knowledge
- Willingness to work in a 5-shift schedule (3-4-3 rotation)
- Practical, proactive, and responsible mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
- Attention to cleanliness, structure, and safety standards
- Dutch language or willingness to learn (English is also accepted)
What do we offer?
- Salary up to €4,600 gross per month (including shift allowance, depending on experience)
- Work on state-of-the-art automated logistics systems
- A technically diverse role combining mechanical & electrical maintenance
- 27 vacation days
- Travel allowance (85% compensation based on travel time)
- Pension scheme according to Dutch Metal & Engineering collective agreement
- Stable long-term position within an international technical organization
- Small, skilled team of around 11 technicians
- Strong opportunities for training, certification, and career growth
