For an innovative high-tech engineering company, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving advanced robotic systems, automated production lines, and state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.
No two days are the same. You'll work with industrial robots, PLC-controlled systems, servo drives, sensors, vision systems, and electrical control cabinets while contributing to the development and reliability of cutting-edge production technology.
Your role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will ensure the electrical reliability and optimal performance of robotic cells and automated production machinery. You will diagnose electrical faults, perform preventive maintenance, support new machine installations, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Working closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and production teams, you'll help keep highly automated production processes running safely and efficiently.
What will you do?
- Troubleshoot electrical faults on robotic systems and automated production machinery
- Diagnose issues involving PLCs, servo systems, sensors, drives, industrial networks, and control systems
- Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance
- Repair and replace electrical components, motors, control cabinets, relays, frequency converters, and safety systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Assist with commissioning, installation, and testing of new robotic production equipment
- Support optimization of automation systems and machine performance
- Maintain maintenance records and technical documentation
- Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and company procedures
What are we looking for?
- MBO or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotics, or a related technical discipline
- Experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, or Automation Technician
- Experience working with robotics, automated production machinery, or high-tech manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems (Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, Omron or similar)
- Experience with servo motors, sensors, industrial communication networks, vision systems, and electrical control panels
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on mentality
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage)
- Proactive mindset with a passion for technology and continuous improvement
- A valid driver's license (Category B) is required
