Job Description

We are looking for an experienced technical leader to take overall responsibility for a site specializing in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of systems for environmentally relevant applications, such as recycling appliances, batteries, and other industrial processes. The role combines strategic oversight, technical expertise, and hands-on operational management.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for the full technical and operational management of the site, including engineering, production, assembly, and commissioning. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, act as the key interface to corporate departments, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions while driving continuous technical improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team (mechanical, electrical, automation, workshop) while overseeing all on-site technical, production, and development activities.
• Serve as the main liaison with corporate departments and provide hands-on technical support to sales and customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout all project phases.
• Ensure compliance with regulations (PED, ATEX, Machinery Directive, Cenelec, WEEELABEX) while achieving project schedules, quality, and cost targets.
• Drive continuous technical improvements, expand the product portfolio, and manage documentation, reporting, and external representation with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering (HBO/FH preferred)
• Knowledge of refrigeration or industrial processing technology is an advantage
• Experience in a similar role within machinery or plant engineering
• Solid understanding of technical, administrative, and financial processes
• Experience in international project environments and technical sales
• Excellent command of English and German (Dutch is an asset)
• Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (PED, ATEX, Machinery Directive, WEEELABEX, Cenelec)
• Willingness to travel internationally
