Job Description

We’re looking for a (Junior) Mechanical Engineer with experience in SolidWorks and a solid technical background in mechanical design for electronic systems.
If you’ve worked on a variety of equipment,  from marine electronics to general electronic assemblies, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

In this role, you’ll help design, develop, and optimize mechanical components for innovative electronic and gas detection products. You don’t need prior experience with our specific products; if you have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for technology, we’ll teach you the rest.

What you’ll do

• Design and model mechanical parts and housings using SolidWorks

• Translate product requirements into detailed mechanical specifications

• Create 3D CAD models and complete 2D manufacturing drawings

• Collaborate closely with electronics, firmware, and production teams

• Support testing, assembly, and optimization of prototypes

• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement projects

• Ensure compliance with certification and regulatory standards

What you bring

• Technical degree (MBO+ / HBO) in mechanical engineering or a related field

• Experience with SolidWorks

• Experience with electronic devices (example household appliances)

• Practical, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn

• Strong communication skills in English (Dutch not required)
