About the role

A leading international manufacturing company is currently completing the construction of a brand-new, high-tech production facility in the Rotterdam region. This site will operate state-of-the-art automated machines that package millions of products every day.

To support the commissioning and long-term reliability of this facility, we are urgently looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician who enjoys working with advanced machinery and wants to be part of a large-scale industrial operation from the ground up.

Your responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-tech production and packaging machines
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical breakdowns
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and ramp-up of new production lines
• Ensure maximum machine availability and safe operation
• Work closely with production, engineering, and external suppliers
• Document maintenance activities and improvements
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement and technical upgrades

Your profile

• Completed MBO-level education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical engineering, or a related field
• Experience as a maintenance technician or in an industrial/production environment
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Highly motivated to learn the Dutch language and integrate into the local working environment
• Valid driver’s license (B) – required due to the industrial site location
• Experience with automated production lines and PLC-controlled systems is a strong plus
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving skills

• Starting salary up to €4,200 gross per month (based on 40 hours, depending on experience)
