For a modern supplier of industrial packaging and labeling machinery, we are looking for a hands-on Service Engineer. In this role, you will work at various customer locations, ensuring that production lines remain operational and efficient.
The position
As a Service Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and optimizing packaging and labeling machinery at customer sites. You work independently across different locations while staying closely connected with the internal service team.
Because customers operate production lines that run continuously, your work is essential to keep their processes running smoothly.
Your main activities include:
- Installing, assembling, and commissioning packaging and labeling machinery
- Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical components
- Troubleshooting and resolving machine malfunctions on site
- Analyzing technical problems and implementing effective solutions
- Carrying out machine adjustments, upgrades, and performance improvements
- Supporting and advising operators and technical staff at customer locations
- Accurately documenting service activities and technical findings
You will work on a wide variety of machines and production environments, making this a highly dynamic and technically challenging role.
Your background
- Completed technical education (Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar)
- Experience with industrial machinery, packaging equipment, or production lines is a strong advantage
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Willingness to travel to different customer locations
- Comfortable staying in hotels when required (fully covered by the company)
- Good command of English; Dutch is a plus or willingness to learn
- Valid Category B driver’s license
- VCA certificate or willingness to obtain it
