For a cutting-edge engineering company, we are looking for a Mechanical Technician who thrives on precision mechanical work, complex assemblies, and building sophisticated machines from the ground up. This is not repetitive assembly line work every machine is a unique technical challenge.
Your role
As a Mechanical Technician, you will assemble advanced mechanical systems for the aviation industry, based on technical drawings and specifications. Your work combines precision, mechanical insight, and a hands-on approach to complex assemblies.
You will work in a modern, high-tech workshop alongside engineers and other specialists to build machines that integrate mechanical structures, drives, actuators, and precision components. Every project is different, giving you freedom to tackle diverse machines and technical challenges. A structured onboarding program ensures you quickly become familiar with the machines, processes, and team.
Your tasks include
- Assembling and disassembling complex mechanical and mechatronic systems
- Working with precision components, actuators, and mechanical structures
- Installing frames, drives, and assemblies with exacting tolerances
- Reading, interpreting, and working from technical drawings and specifications
- Aligning, adjusting, and testing machine components for optimal performance
- Collaborating closely with engineers, electricians, and technicians
- Supporting machine testing and preparation for international delivery
- Occasionally assisting with on-site installations at customer locations worldwide
Your attention to detail and mechanical expertise directly impact the performance and reliability of aviation machinery.
What you bring
- Technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Experience in precision assembly, machine building, or mechanical systems
- Candidates with experience in aviation machinery, heavy machinery, or complex mechanical assemblies are especially welcome
- Ability to read and work independently from technical drawings
- Strong mechanical insight and a hands-on mentality
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good command of English (Dutch is a plus)
- Willingness to occasionally travel internationally

- Salary up to €3,500 gross per month, depending on experience
- 25 vacation days + 13 ADV days (full-time)
