We are looking for a Field Service Engineer for a modern supplier of packaging and labeling machinery. In this role, you will travel to customer sites across the Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and The Hague regions, ensuring production lines operate smoothly and efficiently.

Your role

As a Field Service Engineer, you are the technical expert on-site, responsible for maintaining, installing, and optimizing machinery. You will work independently while staying closely connected with the internal service team. Many customers operate continuous production processes, so your work has a direct impact on their productivity and reliability.

Your responsibilities include:

• Installing, assembling, and commissioning packaging and labeling machines
• Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical components
• Troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions on-site
• Analyzing technical issues and implementing practical solutions
• Adjusting, upgrading, and improving machine performance
• Supporting and advising operators and technical staff
• Documenting service activities and technical findings

Every day brings new technical challenges across different machines and production environments, keeping the role dynamic and engaging.

Your background

• Technical education in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar
• Experience in maintenance, service, or mechanical work
• Familiarity with industrial machinery, production equipment, or vehicles is a plus
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams
• Willingness to travel and stay at customer locations as needed
• Good command of English; Dutch is a plus or willingness to learn
• Valid category B driver’s license
• VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one
