For an innovative food production company, we are looking for a maintenance technician who feels at home in an automation-driven manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in keeping production lines running safely, efficiently, and without interruption.
This is a hands-on technical role with a lot of variety, responsibility, and opportunities to improve production processes.
Your role
As a maintenance technician, you are responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated production and packaging lines within a modern food manufacturing environment.
You work closely with operators, production staff, and fellow technicians to ensure the production process runs smoothly and according to strict quality and hygiene standards.
Besides resolving breakdowns, you also focus on preventive maintenance and continuous improvement of technical systems.
You enjoy working in an environment where automation, efficiency, and teamwork are essential.
What will you do?
- Perform maintenance on automated production and packaging machines
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical malfunctions
- Minimize downtime by responding quickly to technical breakdowns
- Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections
- Work with conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, and automated systems
- Support optimization and improvement projects within production
- Collaborate closely with operators and production teams
- Monitor technical performance and identify recurring issues
- Ensure machines meet safety, hygiene, and operational standards
What are we looking for?
You are practical, technically skilled, and enjoy working in a fast-moving industrial environment where reliability is critical.
- MBO education in mechatronics, electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or similar
- Experience as a maintenance technician within food, packaging, or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of automation systems and industrial production equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiar with sensors, conveyors, motors, pneumatic systems, and control technology
- Understanding of hygiene and safety procedures within production environments is a plus
- Flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
