Job Description

Turn your passion for electronics into an international engineering career

Have you recently graduated in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, embedded systems or another technical discipline? Do you enjoy working with electronic hardware, PCBs and troubleshooting complex technical systems?

This is your opportunity to join a global high-tech company that develops advanced industrial automation solutions used by manufacturers worldwide.

This isn't a traditional service desk role. You'll become a technical specialist supporting cutting-edge industrial hardware, combining electronics, sensors, embedded technology and automation. Every challenge is different, giving you the opportunity to continuously learn and grow.

No experience with our products? No problem. You'll start with an intensive 4 to 8-week training programme at our international training academy, where you'll gain all the technical knowledge needed to become an expert.

Your challenge

As a junior technical support engineer, you'll support customers and colleagues throughout Europe by solving complex hardware-related issues and helping implement innovative automation solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support for advanced industrial hardware and automation systems.
  • Troubleshooting electronic components, PCB assemblies, sensors and communication interfaces.
  • Recreating customer environments in our technical lab to identify root causes and resolve hardware issues.
  • Performing diagnostics on electronic systems using technical documentation, measurement equipment and testing procedures.
  • Working closely with R&D, product management and engineering to improve products and customer solutions.
  • Supporting customers through remote diagnostics, testing and technical consultation.
  • Delivering product demonstrations and technical training to colleagues and customers.
  • Supporting new product launches and occasionally travelling within Europe.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for curious engineers who enjoy understanding how electronic systems work and love solving technical challenges.

You have:

  • Minimum a bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, embedded systems, computer engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Up to 2 years of work experience (graduates are highly encouraged to apply).
  • An affinity with electronics and hardware development.
  • Experience with printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic components, embedded hardware, sensors or industrial electronics through your studies, internships, projects or previous work is a strong advantage.
  • You enjoy troubleshooting electronic systems and analysing hardware failures.
  • Knowledge of reading electronic schematics and technical drawings is a plus.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters or logic analysers is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Fluency in English. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • You already have the legal right to work in Belgium (visa sponsorship is unfortunately not available).

What you'll receive

  • Permanent contract from day one.
  • Competitive gross annual salary of approximately €52,000.
  • Performance bonus.
  • 13th month salary.
  • Eco vouchers.
  • Premium laptop and smartphone.
  • Pension scheme.
  • 25 vacation days.
  • Extensive technical onboarding through our international academy.
  • Continuous technical training and coaching.
  • Clear career progression towards technical specialist, hardware engineer, product specialist or engineering management.
  • Relocation support for candidates moving to the Mechelen area.

Why join us?

You'll work for an internationally recognised high-tech organisation that develops innovative solutions in industrial automation, machine vision, barcode identification, laser marking and smart manufacturing.

If you're passionate about electronics, enjoy working with PCBs and hardware, and want to apply your technical knowledge in a real-world industrial environment, this is the perfect place to launch your career.

Work alongside experienced engineers, solve challenging technical problems and become part of an international team where innovation, technology and continuous learning are at the heart of everything we do.
