For an innovative high-tech engineering company in Nieuwkoop, we are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to start your career in a hands-on technical role while following a structured development path towards becoming an Electrical Engineer.
During your first years, you'll work as an Electrical Assembly Technician, where you'll gain in-depth knowledge of our machines, electrical systems, and production processes. By building this practical foundation, you'll develop the technical expertise needed to progress into an Engineering position.

Your development journey
Your career starts on the production floor, where you'll learn every aspect of our electrical systems by working alongside experienced engineers and technicians.
As your knowledge and experience grow, you'll gradually take on more engineering responsibilities, including machine improvements, electrical design support, troubleshooting complex systems, and automation projects.
Our goal is to develop you into a fully qualified Electrical Engineer with a deep understanding of our robotics and high-tech production machinery.
What will you do?
During your first years:
- Assemble electrical control cabinets and machine wiring
- Install electrical components, sensors, motors, and cables
- Read and work from electrical drawings and schematics
- Test electrical installations and support machine commissioning
- Assist experienced engineers with troubleshooting and maintenance
- Learn how robotic systems and automated production machinery operate
- Gain practical knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation
- Work closely with engineering, production, and service teams
- EU citizenship is required to participate in the company's international training programme.
As you grow into an Engineering role:
- Diagnose electrical faults on automated machinery
- Support electrical design improvements
- Optimize machine performance and reliability
- Participate in automation and continuous improvement projects
- Assist with commissioning new production equipment
- Help develop innovative solutions for future machine generations
What are we looking for?
- MBO Level 4 or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotics, or a similar technical discipline
- Practical experience through internships, apprenticeships, or personal technical projects is a plus
- Passion for electrical engineering, robotics, and automation
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues
- Able to read or willing to learn electrical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical curiosity
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage)
- A valid driver's license (Category B) is required
- You live max 20 min from Nieuwkoop
