We're looking for an Electronic Technician to join an innovative engineering company specializing in marine communication and navigation systems. In this role, you'll assemble, test, configure and maintain high-tech electronic equipment used on commercial vessels, offshore installations and superyachts.
You'll mainly work from a modern workshop, but you'll also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites for installations, commissioning and technical support. International product training is part of the role, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys learning and developing new technical skills.
What you'll do
As an Electronic Technician, you'll be responsible for assembling, testing and servicing advanced marine communication equipment. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you'll ensure every system meets the highest standards before being delivered to customers.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assemble and wire marine communication and electronic systems
- Install and configure communication devices, antennas, control units and network equipment
- Test, calibrate and validate electronic systems before delivery
- Diagnose and repair faults in communication and navigation equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and technical inspections
- Support commissioning and service activities at customer locations
- Prepare service reports and technical documentation
- Identify technical improvements and contribute to product quality
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical and software engineering teams
Who we're looking for
You're someone who enjoys understanding how electronic systems work and takes pride in solving technical challenges. You work accurately, think analytically and enjoy combining practical work with troubleshooting.
You have:
- Minimum an MBO Level 4 or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Marine Electronics, Mechatronics or a comparable technical field
- Experience with electronic assembly, testing, servicing or repairs, or you're a motivated junior eager to learn
- Affinity with communication technology, networking or marine electronics
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to travel occasionally within the Netherlands and internationally for customer support and manufacturer training
- A valid Category B driving licence
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage)
