For an international technology-driven organization at Schiphol, we are looking for an Allround Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team in a highly automated logistics environment.

You will work with advanced conveyor systems, automated storage solutions, motors, sensors, drives, and PLC-controlled machinery. Your role is essential in keeping the installation operational, minimizing downtime, and ensuring that goods continue moving through the facility around the clock.

Working in a five-shift system, you will be part of a professional technical team responsible for maintaining one of the most technologically advanced logistics environments in the region.

Your role

As an Allround Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical installations. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to keep the automated operation running reliably.

This is a hands-on position offering plenty of technical variety, where no two shifts are the same.

What will you do?

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated machinery and industrial installations.

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.

• Diagnose malfunctions involving conveyor systems, motors, sensors, frequency drives, and automated equipment.

• Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical and electrical components.

• Identify root causes of recurring technical issues and contribute to long-term solutions.

• Monitor the performance and condition of machinery and installations.

• Support the maintenance of PLC-controlled systems and automated material-handling equipment.

• Work closely with operators, fellow technicians, and other technical specialists to resolve breakdowns.

• Carry out inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with safety procedures.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on machine reliability and operational efficiency.

• Accurately document maintenance activities and report technical issues.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a hands-on technician with a broad technical foundation, a practical mindset, and an interest in automation.

• An MBO-level technical education in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a similar discipline.

• Practical experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairing technical equipment in an industrial environment.

• A solid understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.

• Experience working with motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, or industrial machinery is an advantage.

• The ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation is beneficial.

• A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to technical problems.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Good communication skills in English.

• Willingness to work in a five-shift rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
