Your role
As a Junior Field Service Engineer / Electrical Panel Builder, you'll split your time between the workshop and customer sites.
Around 50% of your work takes place in a modern workshop where you'll build, wire, test, and commission electrical control panels and high-tech systems. The other 50% consists of service, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer locations across the region.
You'll receive extensive training from experienced engineers, making this an ideal opportunity for ambitious technicians looking to grow into an all-round Field Service Engineer.
Because you'll participate in a standby service rotation, a Category B driving licence is required. A company vehicle is provided for customer visits and standby duties.
What you'll do
- Build and assemble electrical control panels and control cabinets
- Wire electrical installations, cable harnesses, and components
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Test, commission, and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Perform service and maintenance at customer locations
- Diagnose electrical faults and provide technical solutions
- Assist with prototype builds and custom technical projects
- Carry out quality inspections and functional testing
- Work closely with engineers and project teams
- Contribute ideas for technical improvements and innovation
- Participate in an on-call service schedule
What we're looking for
- MBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electronics, or a similar technical field
- Experience with panel building, electrical assembly, wiring, or industrial installations is a plus
- Experience in machine building, industrial automation, automotive, commercial vehicles, or high-tech equipment is an advantage
- Able to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Hands-on mentality with strong problem-solving skills
- Eager to learn and develop technically
- Good English communication skills (Dutch is a plus)
- Valid Category B driving licence
- Willing to participate in standby service
