Are you an Electronic & Electrical Technician who enjoys hands-on technical work and has an interest in marine technology, system integration, and software? Do you like building products, connecting electronic systems, and making sure that hardware, software, and data communicate correctly?

We are looking for a practical and technically skilled Electronic & Electrical Technician – Marine Assembly to join a growing technical organisation working with advanced electronic, electrical, communication, navigation, and monitoring systems for the marine and offshore industry.

Your role

As an Electronic & Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, configuration, and integration of marine electronic and electrical products.

You will work mainly from the workshop, with occasional travel to customer and project locations in the Netherlands and abroad.

The role combines hands-on electronics and electrical assembly with software configuration, networking, system integration, and data communication. You will help ensure that individual components and complete systems work together reliably.

Your responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, and integrate electronic and electrical marine products

  • Build control panels, electronic units, communication systems, and related equipment

  • Connect sensors, controllers, displays, communication interfaces, and other components

  • Test and troubleshoot electronic and electrical systems

  • Configure equipment, software, and communication interfaces

  • Connect products and systems to networks and other equipment

  • Configure and test data communication between different systems

  • Troubleshoot communication, connectivity, and data-related issues

  • Install and commission marine communication, navigation, monitoring, and automation systems

  • Perform functional testing, calibration, and system validation

  • Read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and manuals

  • Support installation and commissioning activities at customer locations

What we're looking for

  • MBO+ working and thinking level in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a similar technical field

  • Experience with electronics, electrical systems, assembly, testing, or commissioning

  • A strong practical and technical mindset

  • Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits

  • Accurate and structured approach to assembly and testing

  • Able to work independently as well as in a technical team

  • Valid Category B driving licence

  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally

  • Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage
