Are you an Electrical Technician who enjoys troubleshooting technical faults and keeping industrial production machinery running smoothly? Do you have experience with electrical systems, process installations, packaging machinery, and automated production equipment?

For a food production company, we are looking for a Electrical Technician to strengthen the technical maintenance team.

You will work in a diverse production environment with different types of machinery, including process equipment, mixers, packaging machines, conveyors, motors, sensors, and automated production lines. Your role will be essential in resolving technical breakdowns, preventing production downtime, and ensuring that machinery operates safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on technical position offering a direct employment contract with the employer, a salary of up to €4,600 gross per month, and the opportunity to develop your technical expertise in the food production industry.

Your role

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical systems across a variety of food production machinery and installations.

Working closely with operators and fellow technicians, you will identify faults, carry out repairs, and support preventive maintenance to keep production running with minimal interruptions.

Your main focus will be on electrical fault finding, machine maintenance, and production continuity.

What will you do?

• Troubleshoot electrical faults across different types of food production machinery.

• Maintain and repair process equipment, mixers, packaging machines, conveyors, and automated production lines.

• Diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical installations, control panels, sensors, motors, and frequency drives.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Inspect, repair, and replace electrical components when necessary.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical schematics.

• Support the maintenance of PLC-controlled machinery and automated production systems.

• Assist with testing, commissioning, and technical improvements to existing equipment.

• Work closely with production operators to identify recurring faults and improve machine reliability.

• Participate in breakdown and on-call services when required.

• Ensure all maintenance activities meet safety, hygiene, and company standards relevant to food production.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a practical, solution-oriented technician who enjoys working with different machines and solving technical problems in a fast-paced production environment.

• An MBO-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a similar technical field.

• Relevant experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, or industrial production.

• A good understanding of industrial electrical systems and fault finding.

• Experience with production machinery, process installations, packaging equipment, or similar industrial systems.

• The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

• Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery is an advantage.

• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• A valid Category B driving licence, as you will need to travel to the site for breakdowns and on-call services.

• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.

Junior and medior candidates are both welcome, provided they have a relevant technical background and practical maintenance skills.

The production environment includes multiple processes, mixing systems, packaging equipment, and automated machinery. The technical maintenance team plays a vital role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safe and efficient production processes.
