About the role
Are you technically skilled and ready to apply your electrical or instrumentation knowledge in a modern industrial environment?
We are looking for a motivated (Junior) E&I Technician to join a state-of-the-art production facility in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be directly involved in maintaining and optimizing automated systems, ensuring reliable and safe operation of all electrical and instrumentation installations.
You will work with advanced measurement and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, and PLC equipment, used to monitor and regulate parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level across the production process. This position is open to both experienced professionals and junior technicians eager to learn.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
- Troubleshoot and repair faults to minimize production downtime
- Inspect and calibrate measurement and control equipment
- Assist with modifications, upgrades, and installation of new equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and findings
- Actively contribute ideas for improvement and standardization
Your profile
- Technical diploma (MBO or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering
- (Basic) knowledge of electrical installations, instrumentation, and industrial automation
- Experience in a production or process environment is a plus (not required for juniors)
- Familiar with PLC and SCADA systems
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards (e.g., NEN 1010, NEN 3140)
- Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Good communication skills in English and at least B-level Dutch (able to read technical documents)
- Accurate, safety-conscious, and proactive team player
