Junior International High Tech Engineer Barcode Readers
Start Date: Ideally September
Ready to make the leap from an ambitious graduate to an internationally recognized expert in industrial automation? A global market leader in automation solutions is looking for sharp talent to join their European headquarters in Mechelen.
This is not your standard helpdesk role. You will play a key part in bridging complex engineering with tangible, industrial solutions for advanced barcode scanners and identification systems. No prior experience with these specific systems? No problem at all. Ideally, you have a strong affinity for software! To get you fully up to speed, you will kick off with an intensive 4 to 8-week onboarding program at our in-house academy.
What will you do?
- Technical Advice & System Integration: Serve as the technical brains behind the European sales teams. You will analyze complex client inquiries and assess the feasibility of innovative barcode solutions.
- Lab Research & Troubleshooting: When clients encounter issues, you will dive into our on-site laboratory to recreate their specific configurations. Through video, email, or direct consultation, you will ensure their scanner setups run flawlessly again.
- Knowledge Sharing & Demonstrations: You are not just a user, but a mentor. You will conduct impressive product demonstrations and train new Sales Engineers within the organization.
- International Experience: Travel about 30% of your time within Europe to support major product launches and provide on-site expertise.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for proactive "fixers" with strong analytical skills who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language.
- Education: A completed technical or scientific Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Engineering, Physics, or Electromechanics).
- Experience: Recent graduate or a maximum of 2 years of professional work experience.
- Languages: Fluent in English. Any additional European language is a major plus.
- Location/Relocation: Already residing in the Mechelen/Brussels area or willing to relocate.
- Work Authorization: Please note that our company is unfortunately unable to provide visa or work sponsorship for this position. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Belgium.
- Affinity: It is important that you have interest in develop yourself either in software or hardware technology
