Maintenance Technician | Production
What will you be doing?
As a Maintenance Technician, you will work in a modern biscuit and bakery production facility where high-speed production lines run around the clock. You will be responsible for keeping the machinery, production equipment and technical installations in optimal condition, ensuring production can continue safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical and electromechanical production equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Carrying out inspections, adjustments and minor modifications to machines and production lines.
- Supporting production operators with technical questions and troubleshooting on the shop floor.
- Working closely with colleagues from Production, Engineering and Quality to identify and prevent recurring technical issues.
- Recording maintenance activities and reporting technical findings and recommendations.
- Working in accordance with company procedures regarding safety, quality, hygiene and food safety standards.
What do we offer?
- Salary based on experience and technical qualifications: €3,500 - €4,400 gross per month based on a 36-hour working week.
- Shift allowance of 28% for working in a 5-shift schedule.
- 8% holiday allowance.
- 180 holiday hours per year, pro rata based on your employment.
- Travel allowance of €0.25 per km
- Pension scheme, with a significant contribution from the employer.
- Initial fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position.

What are we looking for?
- Completed technical education at MBO preferably in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Practical experience with mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read electrical diagrams.
- A hands-on mentality and a structured, solution-oriented approach to technical problems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
- Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in a 5-shift schedule, averaging approximately 33.6 hours per week.
Where will you be working?
You will be working at an international manufacturer specialising in biscuits, cookies and other sweet bakery products, based in the Netherlands. The production facility operates highly automated production and packaging lines where reliability and efficiency are essential.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will become part of a professional maintenance team responsible for keeping the entire production environment running smoothly. You will have plenty of opportunity to develop your technical skills and contribute ideas for improving machine reliability and maintenance processes.
