For an international production company specializing in the animal feed industry, we are looking for a Junior / Medior Electrical Technician to strengthen the technical team in Nieuwkoop.

In this role, you will work with industrial electrical installations, control panels, sensors, motors, and automated production machinery. You will play an important part in identifying and resolving technical issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring that production continues safely and efficiently.

Your role

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical systems and production equipment. You will work closely with operators and other technical colleagues to quickly identify faults and find effective solutions.

Your main focus will be on fault finding, electrical maintenance, and keeping production running.

What will you do?

• Troubleshoot electrical faults on industrial production machinery and equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical installations, control panels, sensors, motors, and frequency drives.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime.

• Inspect, repair, and replace electrical components where necessary.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical schematics.

• Support the maintenance of automated production lines and PLC-controlled machinery.

• Assist with testing, commissioning, and improvements to existing equipment.

• Work closely with production operators and fellow technicians to resolve technical issues.

• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and according to company standards.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a practical, motivated technician who enjoys solving technical problems and takes a hands-on approach to maintenance.

• An MBO-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a similar technical field.

• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, or an industrial production environment.

• A solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and fault finding.

• The ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.

• Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery is an advantage.

• A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.

• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.

Junior and medior candidates are both welcome, provided you have a relevant technical background and practical experience.
