Job Description
Build advanced training systems that bring virtual reality into the real world.
Are you technically minded, enjoy working with your hands, and like building complex machines and systems?
Do you have a background in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Machine Building?
Would you like to work on advanced VR training stations and simulation systems that combine mechanics, electronics, and modern technology?
Then this could be your next step.
For a high-tech engineering company, we are looking for an Assembly Technician Mechatronics.
You will work on assembling, integrating, and testing advanced training systems used to create realistic training experiences. These systems combine mechanical structures, electrical components, motion systems, controls, and VR technology.
This is a hands-on position where you help turn individual components into complete, fully functioning training systems.
What will you do?
As an Assembly Technician, you will be involved in the assembly and integration of advanced VR training stations and simulators.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling mechanical structures, frames, and modules for VR training stations.
- Building and integrating mechatronic systems and technical components.
- Installing motors, drives, sensors, actuators, and electrical components.
- Assembling moving and mechanical parts of simulation systems.
- Working from technical drawings, assembly instructions, and diagrams.
- Connecting and installing electrical and control components.
- Supporting the integration of VR hardware and related equipment.
- Working closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure systems meet quality standards.
- Preparing completed systems for final testing, delivery, and installation.
You will work across different technical disciplines, combining mechanical assembly, electrical systems, and mechatronics.
The goal is to ensure that every training station is assembled accurately, operates reliably, and is ready for use.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who enjoys practical technical work and is interested in how complex systems are built.
You don't need to be an expert in virtual reality. Your technical skills and willingness to learn are what matter most.
You bring:
- An MBO level 3 or 4 qualification in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field.
- Experience in, or a strong interest in, mechanical and mechatronic assembly.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components.
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- A practical, hands-on approach to solving technical problems.
- An eye for detail and a focus on quality.
- An interest in advanced machinery, simulation systems, and modern technology.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate with engineers and fellow technicians.
- Good communication skills in English.
Experience with machine building, robotics, automation, electronics, or VR equipment is an advantage, but not essential for the right candidate.
What do we offer?
- Salary up to €4,000 gross per month, depending on experience and technical knowledge.
- The opportunity to work on innovative VR training stations and advanced simulation systems.
- 38 vacation days
- A hands-on role combining mechanics, electronics, and mechatronics.
- Training and guidance from experienced technicians and engineers.
- Opportunities to develop your technical knowledge and practical skills.
- Varied assembly and integration projects.
- A technically challenging working environment where precision and quality matter.
- Opportunities to grow into a specialist or senior technical position.
- The satisfaction of seeing complex training systems come together and function as intended.
