Working with automation in a high-tech environment

You will work on a large industrial site with a wide variety of automated systems, machinery and technical installations.

As a Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for keeping automated equipment operational and supporting the resolution of technical issues.

You will work closely with other mechanics, technicians, engineers and operators. Because of the variety of systems and equipment, you will face new technical challenges on a regular basis.

What will you do?

Your main focus will be service, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated machinery and installations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing mechanical and technical faults in automated systems
• Troubleshooting conveyors, motors, gearboxes and moving equipment
• Investigating recurring faults and identifying root causes
• Carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance
• Repairing, adjusting and replacing mechanical components
• Supporting troubleshooting of sensors, actuators and automation systems
• Working together with automation and electrical technicians
• Testing machinery after repairs and ensuring it is ready for operation
• Supporting improvements to system reliability and performance
• Documenting faults, repairs and technical findings
• Sharing technical knowledge and solutions with colleagues

You don't simply fix what is broken.

You want to understand why it broke in the first place.

Who are we looking for?

You have a strong mechanical background and enjoy working with automated machinery.

You are:

• Hands-on and technically minded
• Experienced in mechanical troubleshooting
• Curious about automation and technology
• Comfortable working independently
• A practical problem solver
• Able to work under pressure when equipment is down
• Willing to work with both mechanical and technical systems
• Interested in developing your knowledge of automation
• A team player who enjoys working with engineers and technicians

Experience in industrial maintenance, machine building, logistics automation, manufacturing, automotive, mechatronics or technical service is an advantage.

You don't have to be an automation specialist already.
