Technical Support Engineer High Tech Solutions
Location: Mechelen | Start date: immediately / by mutual agreement

For the European headquarters in Mechelen, we are looking for technical talent who wants to develop into an indispensable specialist for international customers and sales teams.
Your role: The link between technology and practice
As Technical Support Engineer you are the organisation’s in-depth knowledge source. You do not work from a standard helpdesk, but act as a technical consultant for complex issues. No specific experience with sensors or microscopy yet? No problem. You will receive an intensive training programme of 4 to 6 weeks in which we teach you everything about the hardware, software, and industrial applications.
What will you do exactly?
- Expert Support: You support international sales teams and customers with challenging questions about product functionality, installation, and the integration of systems into production processes.
- Problem Solver: Via phone, e-mail, and video calls you perform troubleshooting. In the dedicated technical area at the office you test products to reproduce issues and solve them immediately.
- Knowledge Sharing: You train new Sales Engineers, deliver impressive product demonstrations, and provide technical support during important customer visits.
- International Impact: You create technical documentation and travel occasionally (approx. 30%) within Europe for product launches and on-site training at other branches.
The ideal balance: Office & Travel Readiness
You will be based at the modern headquarters in Mechelen, as part of a team organised by product line (e.g. Sensors, Metrology or Microscopes). Although this is not a Field Service role, you will travel approximately 30% of your time (often short trips of 1–3 days) within Europe for demonstrations and to support field colleagues.
Who are you?
You are analytically strong and enjoy making complex technology understandable for others. In addition, you bring:
- A completed bachelor degree (preferably in a technical or science-related field).
- 0 to 2 years of work experience; we are explicitly open to ambitious starters.
- A proactive attitude and the drive to become a true product expert.
- Excellent communication skills (fluent in English, extra languages are a plus!).
- You live in the Mechelen/Brussels region (or are willing to relocate).
- In case of relocation you will receive a strong relocation allowance.
