Job Description
Technical Support Engineer High Tech Czech speaking
Location: Mechelen | Start date: ASAP / by agreement
Are you eager to become a technical authority working on cutting-edge innovations? Our client is an internationally recognized player in automation, sensor systems, and measurement solutions. For their European headquarters in Mechelen, they are seeking technically minded talent who wants to grow into a key specialist supporting global clients and commercial teams.
Your role: Bridging technology and real-world application
As a Technical Support Engineer, you act as the go-to expert within the organization. This is not a standard helpdesk position—you function as a technical advisor handling complex challenges. No prior experience with sensors or microscopy? That’s perfectly fine. You’ll follow a comprehensive 4–6 week training program covering products, software, and industrial use cases in depth.
What will you be doing?
- Technical Expertise: Assist international sales teams and customers with advanced questions related to product capabilities, setup, and system integration in production environments.
- Troubleshooting: Support via phone, email, and video, while also using the on-site technical lab to replicate and resolve issues hands-on.
- Knowledge Transfer: Train new Sales Engineers, deliver engaging product demos, and provide support during key customer interactions.
- International Exposure: Develop technical materials and travel across Europe (around 30%) for launches and on-site training sessions.
The ideal mix: Office-based with travel opportunities
You’ll primarily work from the modern Mechelen office, within a team structured by product specialization (such as Sensors, Metrology, or Microscopy). While not a field service role, you will travel about 30% of the time—typically short trips of 1–3 days—to support colleagues and demonstrations across Europe.
Who are you?
You enjoy breaking down complex technical topics and explaining them clearly. You also bring:
- A bachelor’s degree (ideally in a technical or scientific discipline)
- 0–2 years of experience; motivated graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
- A proactive mindset and ambition to become a product specialist
- Strong communication skills (fluent English required; Czech or other languages are a plus)
- Residence in the Mechelen/Brussels area or willingness to relocate
- If relocating, you will benefit from a comprehensive relocation package
What’s in it for you?
- Stability: Permanent contract with a gross annual salary of €56,000
- Additional rewards: 13th-month salary and performance-based bonus
- Tools: Premium laptop and smartphone
- Time off: 25 vacation days plus holiday allowance
- Long-term benefits: Solid pension plan and continuous development opportunities
- Relocation support: Attractive package for candidates moving from abroad or further away
